i'm going to try to document my process of learning html and css! i took one class more than a decade ago, so i'm basically starting from scratch.

16/4/2025: learning how to make things (at least somewhat) pretty! i never would have thought making a box centered and giving it some rounded edges would bring me this much joy. i tried to move the css to an external file but i couldn't figure out how to make it work, so for now it's all just in one page. i also messed around trying to make a sidebar, but all i managed to do was somehow break all the css several times... but i added an "about me" page, and it immediately made the site feel way fancier!

15/4/2025: i'm starting to understand all the memes about having your code break because you misplaced one semicolon somewhere. but i'm learning a lot. there's now some colors and images. i tried to make the whole thing centered but gave up after half an hour. i guess i'll learn how to make things work before learning how to make them pretty.

14/4/2025 i know jack shit about coding so this is going to be a long road to a functional website. current state of things: black text on white background and some links.
